One final note. 🎶
We want to thank you in advance for supporting the arts. We'd love to be doing this live, a few feet away from you, with drinks in hand. This is the next best thing, and we think you're going to like it. We've hired editors + videographers, gotten licenses, and learned all kinds of new skills in order to put on an engaging performance that embraces a new format. We've worked hard to bring you something enjoyable and high-quality, and we can't wait to "see" you.

Read MoreSo what is Women’s Equality Day anyway? On August 26, 1920, the U.S. Secretary of State signed the 19th Amendment, officially granting women the right to vote in the U.S. after a 100 year struggle. However, the uphill fight for American voting rights did not end on this day. It wasn’t until the Voting Rights Act of 1965 that women of all races FINALLY received legal protection against discriminatory voting laws. And unfortunately, the struggle continues today as voter suppression of young voters and minorities runs rampant across our country.
This year on Women’s Equality Day, August 26, 2020, the U.S. celebrates the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment. Queen City Cabaret is marking the moment by honoring the voices of women in our community and continuing the fight against voter suppression. Join us on Facebook at 7pm, August 19-26, to meet seven INCREDIBLE artists who are making music and changing the game all over our Cincinnati community. We’ll also be collecting funds to support The Brennan Center for Justice, an organization dedicated to ensuring that every American has access to a safe and fair election-.
Announcing Queen City Cabaret's Women's Equality Day Online Music Festival
A week of music, courage, and standing for what matters.
This year, Queen City Cabaret has joined the greater Cincinnati arts community in celebrating the #POWEROFHER. In March, that meant teaming up with over 75 volunteers representing 25+ organizations to create a Cincy-inspired music video cover of the 2017 Women’s March anthem, “Quiet” by MILCK.
Now, we’re ready to kick off our third sassy, sizzling, and socially-distant season (on the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, no less!) with another celebration of some of the most inspiring women in our community.
August 2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the first group of American women gaining the right to vote through the 19th Amendment. However, it wasn’t until The Voting Rights Act of 1965 that American women of all races were free to exercise that right. On this major anniversary in our voting rights history, we celebrate how far we’ve come, and we continue to fight voter suppression in every form. All proceeds from the festival go to support the Brennan Center for Justice.
Please join us at 7pm, August 19-26, on our blog or Facebook page to celebrate these amazing musicians and help us fight voter suppression!
The festival is free, but donations to the Brennan Center are encouraged!
We hope you and yours are staying safe and healthy, and we look forward to another year of bringing you great music, good cheer, and a whole lot of Queen City love.
Cheers!
